TWN is an Australian technology company based in Launceston, Tasmania. We help organisations own more of the systems their work depends on.
What we do
We build and support systems that organisations can understand, secure, run, and change. Our work covers managed IT, infrastructure, software, cybersecurity, automation, and data control.
Our story
People should be able to understand and own the systems their work depends on. That idea guides our services, our products, and our writing.
We tell the story through the work. A service shows how the idea helps a customer. An article explains a choice. A project shows what changed. A failure shows what we need to learn.
We name what is ready, what is being built, and what still needs to be tested. Clear claims need clear proof.
What we believe
Technology should give people more ability to act. It should not make them wait for a vendor to explain or change their own system.
A system should have clear boundaries, useful notes, safe access, and a path to recovery. The people who use it should know how it works well enough to make the next decision.
Ownership over access
A login is not the same as control. We prefer designs that keep data portable and decisions visible. Customers should be able to change providers or run more of the system when it makes sense.
Open where it matters
Open formats and clear interfaces make future choices easier. We use closed services when they are the right fit, and we name the dependency so it can be managed.
Security by design
Security belongs in access, architecture, deployment, backup, and daily work. We build a response plan because no control prevents every problem.
Leave capability behind
Good work makes the next decision easier. We write the runbook, explain the choice, and share enough context that the organisation can keep improving.
